The Latvian National Symphony Orchestra’s leading clarinetist Guntis Kuzma performs his first recital.
Guntis Kuzma’s repertoire mainly includes contemporary music. He performs both as a solo artist and a member of various chamber ensembles and orchestras. However, this will be the first chamber music concert featuring a completely different repertoire which reveals the romantic side of the musician’s soul.
The programme includes the golden classics of clarinet music by F.J.M. Pulenc, J. Brahms, H. Baermann, A. Pärt, D. Lovrelio and other composers.
Accompanying him will be the Latvian Grand Music Award winner Agnese Egliņa, one of the most prominent pianists of the new generation. Among her attainments are many concerts with Latvian and European musicians.
Principal clarinet player at the LNSO (since 2008) and Sinfonietta Rīga Chamber Orchestra (since 2007), the award-winning Guntis Kuzma has performed all over the world, regularly cooperates with Latvian composers and premieres compositions for clarinet.
